The 1997 AFL Grand Final was a game played between the St Kilda Football Club and the Adelaide Football club. The game was held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Melbourne the 27th of September 1997, there was 99,645. It was the 101st grand final in the Australian Football League. The game was won by the Adelaide Crows resulting in them winning their first premiership. The Saints went into the game as heavy favourites.
