The 2018 AFLW Season as the 2nd season of elite women's Australian Rules competition. The season featured 8 teams each associated with a current men's AFL team. The season commenced on Friday 2nd February and finished on the 24th March.
Overview[]
Unlike in the inaugural season, none of the home and away fixtures clashed with AFL games. Darwin, Moe, Canberra and Alice Springs all hosted the non-metropolitan games.
The biggest table swings, were Adelaide who went from Premiers to 5th place and the Western Bulldogs who went from 6th to Minor Premiership and Premiership within a season. Carlton also fell from 4th to last.
