Collingwood are a well respected and competitive club. Since their formation in 1892 they have competed in 44 AFL/VFL grand finals, winning 15, but losing 27. This makes them the club with the most Grand Final appearances but also the most defeats in a final.
In the AFL era, Collingwood have won in 1990 and 2010. Whilst losing to the Brisbane 3-peat team in 2002 and 2003, they also lost to West Coast in 2018 despite holding a 6-goal lead. Their 2010 Grand Final was decided by a replay following a draw against Saint Kilda.
