The Collingwood Football Club are a professional Aussie Rules Club who are based in the working suburb of Collingwood, Melbourne. There main mens team competes in the Australian Football League, and the reserves compete in the VFL. They also have an AFLW team.
Collingwood are a well respected and competitive club. Since their formation in 1892 they have competed in 45 AFL/VFL grand finals, winning 16, but losing 27. This makes them the club with the most Grand Final appearances but also the most defeats in a final.
In the AFL era, Collingwood have won in 1990, 2010 and 2023. Whilst losing to the Brisbane 3-peat team in 2002 and 2003, they also lost to West Coast in 2018 despite holding a 6-goal lead. Their 2010 Grand Final was decided by a replay following a draw against Saint Kilda.
